T.E.A.M. Nights

Families come together for pizza, worship and parent workshops. There are fun activities for the students.


Huck Finn Fishing Tournament

This family Fishing tournament is held at the beginning of the school year. Students dress up like Tom Sawyer or Becky and learn about history and literature while enjoying a day with a picnic and fishing with their parents,teachers, and fellow students. Awards are given at this event.


Annual Harvest Hoe Down

A fall carnival complete with game booths, petting zoo, pony rides, chili cook off and a bake contest.


Swallow's Day Parade

Students march or ride in the Swallows Day Parade in down-town San Juan Capistrano. This is the nation's largest non-motorized parade. Traditionally it is a fun family event that celebrates the return of the swallows to the Mission at San Juan Capistrano.


Middle School Retreat

At the beginning of each school year, we have an on campus overnighter/ campout for our middle school students. After games, skits and a BBQ with hot dogs and S'mores, the girls have a slumber party on the floor of the Middle School lounge while the boys set up tents in the courtyard. What a great way to begin the school year!


Roar and Snore

Our 2nd and 3rd graders camp under the stars as part of San Diego Zoo's Wild Animal Park Roar and Snore program. The students tour the park for a behind scenes look at how animals behave in the dark. Lion's and Tigers and Bears! Oh My!


Rawhide Ranch

Our 4th and 5th graders visit a dude ranch were they learn how life was in the Wild West. Each camper is "given" a horse for the week and by the end of their trip there isn't a tenderfoot in the house. Reading, Riting, and Rithmetic was joined by Riding, Roping and Roundups at the ranch.


Science Camp

Our 6th graders spend a weekend at the Catalina Island Science Camp. They get to snorkel, kayak, hike and even dissect a squid!


Washington DC Trip

Our 7th and 8th graders visit our nation's capital. This week long adventure includes a trip to Gettysburg, the Capital, the White House and even to the Mint where they print our nations money (No souvenirs please).


Cinco de Mayo Luncheon

RCCS students, families and teachers celebrate Mexico's 1862 victory over the French on Cinco de Mayo, the fifth of May. We come together on this day to remember Mexico's courageous fight to obtain and preserve their freedom.


Grandparent's Day and Talent Show

One of our students' favorite events! Students and their families enjoy a day of showing off their talents in thetalent show, followed by a lakeside luncheon, bingo and crafts, and photos with their families.
