Dear Parents of Prospective Preschool & Kindergarten Students:
We appreciate your interest in Rancho Capistrano Christian School. Our year-round preschool classes offer a developmental curriculum where students learn by doing, touching, tasting, watching and listening. In addition to our “Developmental Appropriate” program, we use an academic curriculum to teach phonics. We believe phonics is an important “key” to learning how to read. Fun and engaging fine and large motor activities are part of each child’s daily schedule. Social skills are developed by encouraging the children to “use their words”, express their feelings and discuss their conflicts as well as cooperative experiences. Our Chapel curriculum includes Bible stories, hands-on experiences including drama, hand signs, puppets, music, weekly verses and prayer.
Our Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten classes are full day programs.
All of our children are blessed by a teaching staff that have the gift of teaching and believe they have been called to work with God’s most precious creation, young children.
The teachers are blessed to go beyond their classrooms and provide outdoor experiences specific to our campus, such as a playground in surrounded by green hills and magestic oak trees. Enjoy walks around our lake, feeding ducks, fish, and nature hikes where bunnies abound!
Our school is accredited with the ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International). The evaluation team from ACSI summarized their visit to the preschool by saying “The best way we can think to sum up the essence of Rancho Capistrano Christian Preschool is the sense that Christ is meeting you at the gate and extending His hand to you with the greeting, “Come and walk with Me”!
