to customize the perfect setting for the size of your group. We can provide
theater, conference, or living room-style arrangements, as well as a variety
of equipment - everything from
Hacienda Conference Room (Set up U-Shape) Our lakeside facilities feature complete walls of sliding glass, allowing for a panoramic view of the lush gardens surrounding the lake. Above the lake, at the charming adobe ranch house we call the Hacienda, cozy furniture, antiques and a wood-burning fireplace fill the interior.
Hacienda Dining Room Led by an award-winning five-star chef, our food service staff will provide your group with healthy gourmet selections and excellent service. Your dining area can be set-up in our Lakeside Garden facilities or in the Greenhouse dining room of the Hacienda.During the warmer months, you may prefer to dine outdoors at the Hacienda - on its Spanish-tiled patio, grassy courtyard or next to the fragrant rose garden at the poolside patio.
Casitas Suite Living Room Our guest rooms offer a quaint environment for your overnight stay. Each are furnished with double beds and linens, as well as its own bathroom with towels and toiletries. All of our guest rooms are cleaned for you by our housekeeping service, and are just steps away from the meeting rooms and dining facilities. At the Hacienda, each guest room opens up to the courtyard and fountain just outside. To preserve the peace and tranquillity of the Ranch, our guest rooms are free of telephones, televisions, radios and alarm clocks. Our goal is to make your stay a true retreat from the hustle and bustle of day-to-day living.
Lakeside Chapel (Set up Classroom Style) The Lakeside Chapel building was donated by Herman and Ladonna Meinders and Robert H. and Marjorie D. Meinders. It is a spacious room with a stunning view of our Lake through the large sliding glass windows on the South side. It can seat up to 150 guests for meetings and 110 for banquets and Christmas parties. The steeple contains a lovely antique bell from Dr. Schuller's own bell collection. Guests are encouraged to pull the bell rope and enjoy its distinctive sound.
Lakeside Library (Set up Theatre Style) The Library is planned as a room for quiet meditation and relaxation or for group meetings or banquets. The Library has a beautiful view of our lake, water fountain and gazebo. It can comfortably seat 80 theater-style and 60 for banquets or special occasions. It is used for conferences, retreats, small groups, prayer meetings, Christmas parties, weddings, receptions and anniversary parties.
Lakeside Dining Room (Set Up Banquet Style) The dining hall and kitchen building were donated by the Carl N. and Margaret M. Karcher Foundation. The dining hall has three sides that are all sliding glass doors. There is an amazing view of the Conference Courtyard with the bougainvillea trellis and the shimmering lake surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens, visited by magnificent blue cranes and our beloved ducks.
Lakeside Guest Room Pictured Our Conference Center hosts 49 guests rooms for group retreats and offer spiritual rest and renewal. The retreat style rooms feature two queen-sized beds (3 rooms feature one king bed), bed and bath linens, private bathrooms with a shower and two basins, heating and air-conditioning. The first floor rooms of the two-story Spanish-style building have patios. The second floor rooms have vaulted ceilings with balconies. To maintain the Spirituality of our rooms we do not have televisions, telephones or clocks in our rooms. All rooms have a view of our beautifully manicured Conference Courtyard. Our lake is a man-made lake filled with water from our own well. We truly are an Oasis. The unique tree root bench at the west end of the gazebo pathway comes from a 1,000-year-old red cedar which once grew in the state of Washington. The tree-root bench is only half of its original root size. The Walk of Faith Stepping Stones are contributed by friends and admirers of Rancho Capistrano. Many are in memory of, or honor of, another person. The remainder are purchased in the name or names of the contributor. Each has a very special bible verse inspirited into the marble. It is the perfect place for meditation during your stay. There are many powerful testimonies of how our Lord has spoken to a guest and provided spiritual healing through the message on a stone on our Walk of Faith.
